Anyone Invest in Commoditys?

I was just wondering if anyone here invests in commoditys or knows much on the subject.

I was kind of looking for any advice on the subject good or bad, I've been thinking of maybe investing a few grand in commoditys.

Let me see if I have this right first.

For example If I think the global demand for steel with increase over the next few years then I would invest in well not steel but iron ore right.

Is this the basic concept or am I over simplifying things.

CLF would then be your play. The stock is about to split 2:1 on 5/15 (Thurs.) Be careful if you play it as it has almost doubled in 3 months.
